Meet the Artisans: How Our Pieces Are Made

Behind every Label Arjn piece is a person. Someone who cut the fabric, pressed the block, guided the needle. Slow fashion, at its core, is about remembering that — that clothes don't appear from nowhere, and that the people who make them deserve to be seen.

Who Makes Our Clothes?

Our garments are made by skilled artisans who have spent years honing their craft. Hand block printing, precise cutting, careful stitching — these are not skills you pick up overnight. They're passed down, practised, and perfected over time. The people behind our pieces bring that depth of knowledge to every garment they make.

We work in small batches, which means our artisans aren't rushing through thousands of identical units. They have the time to do the work properly — to notice when something isn't right, to take care with the details, to make something they're proud of.

What Fair Pay Means to Us

We believe that fair pay isn't a bonus — it's a baseline. Our artisans are paid fairly for their time and skill, full stop. We don't think that's something to celebrate as exceptional; we think it's simply what's right. But we do think it's worth saying out loud, because it's not yet the industry standard.

When you pay a fair price for a Label Arjn piece, part of what you're paying for is the assurance that the person who made it was compensated with dignity.

Small Batch, on Purpose

We make in small batches deliberately. It means less overproduction, less waste, and more attention to each piece. It also means that when something sells out, it may not come back — and that's okay. We'd rather make fewer things well than many things carelessly.

Small-batch production also lets us stay close to the process. We know what's being made, how it's being made, and who's making it. That connection matters to us.

Slow Fashion Is a Practice, Not a Label

"Slow fashion" can sound like a marketing term, but for us it's a set of daily decisions. It's choosing to work with artisans rather than factories. It's using leftover fabric for scrunchies instead of sending it to landfill. It's taking the time to get a print right rather than rushing to market.

It's slower, yes. But we think the result — clothes that are made with care, worn with intention, and built to last — is worth it.
